By the time you read this Mother’s day will be over. You may have seized the opportunity, or maybe you missed it, either way I have some thoughts for you. This week I read a quote which went something like this:
“The best time to plant a tree was 25 years ago.
The second best time is NOW!”
In other words it is never too late to start making a difference. So instead of beating yourself up over it, do something about it now. My mother is now almost 90, and she does not want “things”, what she really wants is the gift of my time! It seems to me that most mothers (and partners) don’t want sickly sweet words in a card, even if they are accompanied by chocolates or flowers, what they desire is US!
So if you failed to find the right gift or got side tracked and didn’t even call, do something today to show you care. Those other gifts, if given from the heart might help to make them feel special for a day, however, the key is being “present” for the rest of the year!
The best time to give a mother’s day gift is mother’s day.
The second best time is today!
